The blog returns

Welcome to the blog of the Curtin Library Makerspace!

Through the blog we hope to bring you regular posts providing information about the Makerspace and the projects happening here, as well as relevant news and events.

For those of you familiar with our Makerspace community, you’ll know that we have settled well into our temporary space in Building 201 while the main Library is undergoing an extensive refurbishment. We’ll be moving into the beautiful new Makerspace in Library Building 105 in 2023.

We also have a Facebook group, where you can join our online community, share your creations, and post ideas or questions.

This year we are excited to have a fabulous team of student assistants working with us. There will always be someone available to show you around the space, help you locate and use the equipment or materials you need for your projects.

We can be tricky to find, so check out where we are on this map. You can also take a look at the Makerspace and the types of equipment we have available, through our 360 degree virtual tour, or this video. We are also updating our equipment list; check back in from time to time to see what we have which might interest you.

We’re open every week day, 12 – 5 pm. Drop in any time!

Curtin would like to pay respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of our community by acknowledging the traditional owners of the land on which the Perth campus is located, the Whadjuk people of the Nyungar Nation; and on our Kalgoorlie campus, the Wongutha people of the North-Eastern Goldfields.
