Crafternoon: Visible Mending @ Curtin Library Makerspace | Bentley | Western Australia | Australia

Join us for our weekly Crafternoon sessions, held each Tuesday in the Library Makerspace (Robertson Library, Level 5) – Drop in between 12pm and 2pm.

Mending is #trending. For centuries people have mended their garments, and many have become quite good at repairing items so the original flaw is completely unnoticeable. But that’s not what we’ll be doing! We’ll be partaking in the practice of “visible mending” where you repair your items with noticeable stitches and often other patterned fabric. Bring in your torn jeans, your holey sweater, or your ripped t-shirt, and turn it into something unique and wearable once more!

Mending your clothes gives them new life, and delays your clothing from ending up in landfill. It’s a win-win!

A Crafternoon is a casual get-together, where you can BYO craft project, share a craft skill, learn something new from a craft buddy, or have a play with some of the crafty materials and tools available in the Makerspace.
